The Founder

I kept packing two bags for one life.

One for the meeting. One for the mountain. Somewhere between a Tuesday flight and a Saturday summit, it stopped making sense — not the packing, the clothes. Nothing was built for the space between.

KATAN exists to close that gap. One wardrobe that works at altitude and at the office. Built slowly. Tested honestly, on people who didn't know they were testing it. Repaired for life, because the alternative is a landfill.

We are small on purpose. Every piece starts in a sketchbook, gets argued over, gets worn until something fails, and gets fixed until nothing does. The first collection took two years. The 54-seam shell pattern became 43 seams before we let it leave the room.

The name is on the label once, in one place, small. If we did the work right, you'll forget you're wearing it. That's the point.
